John pulled open the door to the apartment at 221B Baker Street, humming softly over the steady drone of Mrs. Hudson’s voice downstairs.
“Goodnight, Mrs. Hudson,” he called wearily.
“Oh, goodnight then dear!” she replied.
The door clumped softly in to place and John flicked on the lights as he kicked off his shoes and tore away his coat. For one second, he believed he might see him there, sitting bored in one of the armchairs as he read the newspaper in the dark, hunting for cases.
John imagined Sherlock lowering the paper and staring at him with an eyebrow raised, ready to comment about how utterly uninteres

The First Civilization Myth
It is said that an ancient race, called the First Civilization, once inhabited this world, appearing as gods to the humans they created and guided. These beings, human in figure, advanced in knowledge, terrible in power, created fantastic cities, the like of which have never been seen again on this planet. Their time, one of terrible war, was a period of chaos; a dystopia.
The First Civilization (also known as the Precursors) used the humans as domestic laborers. Eventually, ignorant and fearful, the humans rebelled. The Precursors had terrible power in the form of the pieces of Eden, fantastical artifacts that could control the minds of the

Assassin’s Creed Two
“Requiescat in pace”
Whispered words travel far
But the spoken word
Is never long for this world
Twisted secrecies
Slip and entangle us
We are part of the larger plot
Lost in a world of lies
Only the game teaches us truth
In Saudi Arabia, Italy
And America
We travel through history
We open our eyes
We free our minds
See the world as it is
Leave the lies behind
Never again
Will we travel in darkness
If only we play
And discover the truth
“Requiescat in pace
You Templar bastards
We are your demise
Rise up and fight!”
It is the burden we bear
Shaped to fit our choices
The burden we share
When we all lose our voices
At times we carry it unconsciously
Caught in our own desires
We ignore others’ burdens selfishly
And wars start angry fires
The ability to learn

But also to burn
To rape, kill and cuss
What we do with our burdens
Makes all the difference
To blow up Japan’s gardens
Or spread worldwide acceptance?
We are entrusted with it
Us pitiful, flawed beings
But we don’t give a shit
Not for these wonderful things
Beautiful things
Miraculous things
Our burdens
But also our gifts
What is it we bear

No one knows how difficult it is
Simply inhaling and exhaling
An involuntary, inured action
That takes up our lives
Yet we don’t even notice
We take it for granted
What, you may ask?
Simply substitute anything for “it”
And you will see
There are so many, many unappreciated things
Our lives are full of nonsense
Facebook notifications, texts
Twitter, twitter, tweet
Conversations that in a million years
May never matter
We don’t stop to appreciate the little things
It may sound clichéd
But it makes a difference
In our lives
In the world
In everything
Just stop and think
If, for just for one moment, everyone pau
